Immigration Reform: Documentary Screening and Panel Conversation

About

Ending DACA, building a wall and banning individuals from traveling to the United States -- these are the policies being touted by the White House. These are also the issues causing great concern to our youth and many in our community. To explore these issues further, you are invited to the world premiere of Gandhi Brigade Youth Media's new documentary "The Fabric of America," which examines the extremely important and personal issue of immigration reform. The event will be held 7:30pm on October 11 at Montgomery College's Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring. Click here to watch the trailer and reserve your free tickets. Following the screening will be a q&a with the youth producers and a conversation with leading experts on immigration reform at the local, state and federal levels, including: Hon. Nancy Navarro, Montgomery County Council Gustavo Torres, Casa de Maryland Valeria Carranza, Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Adriano Espaillat Yannick Diouf, co-founder of UndocuBlack
