A multimedia profile of Ingmar Bergman by Swedish architect Anders Rabenius, "Ingmar Bergman: The Man who Asked Hard Questions," On Display July 14 through mid August-- on what would have been Bergman's 90th birthday -- in the AFI Silver gallery.
The installation, which uses video and photography to capture the mind and heart of the filmmaker, will be on display through August, and may be viewed by all ticketholders during visits to the theatre.

The installation is composed of a tree-shaped sculpture bearing five screens displaying scenes, personal interviews and clips from several of Bergman's classic films. The installation also includes a massive panoramic view of the island of Faroe off the Swedish coast, Ingmar Bergman's haven for the final years of his life.
"The Man Who Asked Hard Questions" was initiated by the Swedish Institute and produced by Mondo Arkitekter in Stockholm.
