City Place Mall, an enclosed atrium style shopping center with 400,000 square feet of shopping and entertainment is located in the central business district of downtown Silver Spring, Maryland. It opened its doors in 1992 and features three anchors, five marble and brass appointed levels of retail specialty stores and services, a food court, bank, restaurants and a pedestrian bridge that is connected to a multi-level parking facility. Anchors include Marshall’s, Burlington Coat Factory and Gold’s Gym. City Place is literally the city center, beautifully located as a hub and starting point from which people can find and enjoy close by shopping and casual as well as formal restaurants and more.

A new mall entrance has been added at the corner of Fenton and Ellsworth Drive with an expansive 70 foot art deco style gateway. This addition features new restaurants with outdoor seating and other enhanced amenities. The latest new restaurants include Blue Pearl Pan Asian Restaurant and Moby Dick.

City Place is your place for family and community events, fashion shows, educational exhibits and exciting goods and services. As we move forward in increasing shopping opportunities at the mall, we will continue to bring quality community activities to the mall. The Seniors Classics Club meets every first Tuesday of the month. Kid’s Day program meets the first Saturday of each month. Annual activities include a Healthy You Health and Fitness Expo and a Spring Carnival. Join us for these activities and more.
