Through our own experiences in the fire and rescue service we have chosen the Hook & Ladder as a symbol of pride and honor to pay tribute to the brave men and women who serve and protect our communities.

Founded in March of 1999 by Rich Fleischer, a firefighter from Bethesda, Maryland, Hook & Ladder Brewing is located in Silver Spring, Maryland.

A Penny in Every Pint ® donations are raised through the sale of draft packaged product. Hook & Ladder Brewing Company donates $2 per brewery barrel (31 gallons) sold to its distribution partners. Hook & Ladder Brewing Company highly encourages each of its distribution partners to match its donation; therefore, the total amount of money donated is $4 per brewery barrel from these sources."
 

The Hook and Ladder Brewing Company is renovating the Historic Silver Spring Fire Station into a micro brewery restaurant.   The hope to open in early 2010.
