This park is adjacent to M-NCPPC's Montgomery Regional Office, headquarters of the Montgomery County Planning Board and the Montgomery County Department of Park and Planning. The park is named for Royce Hanson, current Planning Board Chair, to honor his service on the Planning Board as a Commissioner from 1971-1981 and as Chair from 1972-1981. Although there are no recreation facilities, visitors are welcome to enjoy the picnic tables and flower beds.
