This park is adjacent to M-NCPPC's Montgomery Regional Office, headquarters of the Montgomery County Planning Board and the Montgomery County Department of Park and Planning. The park is named for Royce Hanson, a former Chairman of the Planning Board, to honor his service to the County. Although there are no recreation facilities, visitors are welcome to enjoy the picnic tables and flower beds. Playground equipment and other recreation facilities are available at two nearby parks:
