Dear Friend of Downtown Silver Spring Senior Village (DSSSV): We continue to build momentum for DSSSV and are working closely with local civic groups to make the Village a reality next year. In the meantime, we are collaborating with other community resources to enhance the lives of seniors in downtown Silver Spring and to spread the word about our plans. Please join us at two events open to the public - and bring your friends!
Friday, October 19, 2:00 - 3:30: In partnership with Silver Spring Town Center, we will host a fun and informative series of monthly "SPARKLE" programs, designed to inspire and empower seniors. The first session, called "Facebook for Seniors," is designed as an introduction to Facebook for beginners. Location: Silver Spring Civic Building. Saturday, October 27, 10:00 - 4:00: Come to our booth at the Fenton Street Market on October 27th. Learn what we are planning for members and volunteers, and how you can get involved. We look forward to seeing you there, rain or shine.
