New VanGo Route Expanded Service- Free
One of the changes for transit services in downtown Silver Spring is the expansion of the VanGo, a free shuttle service in downtown Silver Spring. The route has added service north of Colesville Road on East-West Highway, 16th Street and Spring Street which give access to the free shuttle service to thousands of residents in the apartments in the northeast quadrant of downtown. To maintain a reasonable time between buses, a third bus has been added to the route. This free service operates from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
