WiFi Is BACK!
The free WiFi service that covers the core of downtown Silver Spring between Wayne Avenue and Colesville Road from 2nd Avenue to Cedar Street is back in operation. The equipment was severely damaged several months ago by a power surge requiring that it be replaced. The equipment was replaced by crews from Montgomery County’s Department of Public Works and Transportation. The WiFi system is operated by Montgomery County’s Department of Technology Services. Atlantech Online, a Silver Spring based business generously provides the Internet access for this free service to the public. Happy surfing.
