Making Health Happen: Stories About Car(e)ing

The Primary Care Coalition and Story District are joining forces to premier a live show on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Black Box Theater in Downtown Silver Spring, MD. Patients, providers, and administrators take to the stage to perform their stories about the trials and successes they experienced in the health care safety net. The world can be a scary place, especially when you are poor and have no health insurance. But an intrepid network of providers work to make it less scary (and more healthy) every day. Rediscover your faith in humanity with live, true stories about making health happen in our own community. Storytellers come from the Primary Care Coalition’s network of staff, health care providers, and – most importantly – patients. The best part? You’re supporting health care too, just by buying a ticket. Event proceeds will support PCC's Project Access program which provides specialty care for low-income, uninsured patients. Reception: 6pm Doors open: 7pm Program begins at 7:30pm. The show is approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. Produced by the Primary Care Coalition (PCC), which has spent 25 years building partnerships across organizations, sectors, and service providers to create a comprehensive, coordinated system of care. Because no matter who you are or how much you make, health care shouldn’t be a matter of luck. It should be a matter of fact.
