Join interdisciplinary artist Ann Deutermann for a 4 part workshop, where we will create a mixed media painting using a variety of materials and techniques. Acrylic paint and it’s mediums will be explored along with combining dry mediums such as pencil and pastel. Learn how to incorporate materials such as paper, fabric, beading, and found objects into a beautiful finished work. We’ll discuss some of the formal elements of art such as positive & negative space, balance, line, and contrast to guide you in your composition. Students will also explore ‘intention’ and how to begin with a point of inspiration allowing your creativity to flow!
