The Pleasant View Historical Association in partnership with BlackRock Center for the Arts (BlackRock) and Docs In Progress is launching a new digital storytelling program, The Finding Fellowship Series. This two-month program centers around filmmaker Jason Green’s 60-minute documentary, Finding Fellowship. The film tells the story of how three racially-segregated Methodists churches – two white and one black – decided to merge in the wake of Dr. King's assassination. The documentary highlights our need as a community and a culture to preserve stories, memories and lessons of the past in order to shape our future.

Finding Fellowship is part of the Silver Screen Series, a gathering place where documentary films can be shown and shared. These films draw on the humanities values of biography, history, culture, and ethics. They are about the stories that define us, connect us with each other, express our values and convey our experiences. The Silver Screen Series is funded in part by Maryland Humanities.
