Workshop Series on Environmental Stewardship and Going Green

St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Downtown Silver Spring is hosting a FREE 3-day workshop series on “Environmental Stewardship & Going Green”. Workshop dates are July 15, 22, and 29 from 7PM to 8PM each evening and will take place in the Williamsburg Room (lower level). Topics include Caring for God’s Creation, Rainwater Harvesting, Reducing Stormwater Runoff, and Energy Conservation. Presentations will be given by expert speakers, including: - Jodi Rose, Executive Director of Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake - Ann English, Program Manager, RainScapes, Montgomery County Dept. of Environmental Protection - Dr. Tamim Younos, Founder & President, Green Water Infrastructure Academy - Fr. Brian Sanderfoot, Pastor, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Washington, DC - Dr. Bob Simon, former advisor for The White House Office of Science Technology and Policy and director of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources Light refreshments will be provided.
