The 5th annual Community Stories Festival comes to Silver Spring and Takoma Park in mid-November. This film festival features short documentaries spotlighting people and places throughout Montgomery County seen through the lens of adults and youth in Docs In Progress adult video production classes and youth summer camps. Film topics this year range from ethnic eateries in Silver Spring to the Button Farm in Germantown to spotlights on different artists and arts organizations throughout the county. Following the screenings, there will be Q&A with the filmmakers and some of the people featured in the films. All festival events are free thanks to the support of the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, the Maryland State Arts Council, the Maryland Film Office, the City of Takoma Park, the Takoma Foundation, and the William and Karen Tell Foundation.
